Jumantik Training in Badung Regency, Bali for Larva Habitat Survey and Digital Jumantik Application

`

The case of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is still a public health problem. The larva monitoring officer (Jumantik) plays a role in collecting data and eradicating larvae in their environment. To increase the capacity of the jumantik in Badung Regency, a training was held that aims to train the jumantik to conduct a larvae habitat survey using an integrated digital environmental surveillance system application for dengue control.

The target of this activity is jumantik in 13 Public Health Center in Badung Regency, with a total of 583 jumantik officers and 62 jumantik coordinators. This training is carried out in stages at each Public Health Center, from June to September 2022. This activity is organized by the Badung District Health Office in collaboration with the Bachelor of Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The resource persons for this activity were Sang Gede Purnama, SKM, MSc, Dr. drh. Made Subrata, M. Erg and Ngakan Putu Anom Harjana, SKM, MA.

Through digital data collection training using the SILIRA integrated application, it is hoped that the jumantik can collect larvae habitat data in each banjar in Badung Regency, so that mapping of areas at risk of dengue disease can be carried out. This effort is useful for improving the early warning system in the prevention and transmission of DHF in endemic areas, in order to realize a healthy Badung Regency.
