PSSKM Unud and BKKBN Bali Hold Public Lecture on the Role of Students in Building a Population-Oriented Development Toward a Stunting-Free Golden Generation 2045
Denpasar – The Undergraduate Program in Public Health (PSSKM), Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, in collaboration with the Bali Provincial Office of BKKBN, held a public lecture titled “The Role of Students in Population-Oriented Development Toward a Stunting-Free Golden Generation 2045” on Friday (August 9, 2024) at the Prof. dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Meeting Room, Faculty of Medicine.
The event also featured the launching of the Population Clock, serving as an important tool to raise awareness about demographic dynamics and the urgency of accelerating stunting reduction efforts.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Eng. Bonivasius Prasetya Ichtiarto, Deputy for Population Control at BKKBN, emphasized the strategic role of students as change agents in population-based development. He highlighted that the younger generation has a vital contribution in supporting the government’s agenda to reduce stunting and realize Indonesia’s Golden Generation 2045.
The lecture was attended by 53 students along with 13 representatives from regional government agencies (OPD) across Bali. This multi-sector participation is expected to strengthen collaboration between academia and government in supporting the Bangga Kencana program.
Through this activity, students are encouraged to better understand their role in population issues and to actively contribute to achieving a stunting-free Indonesia for a healthier and more prosperous future.
