Tabanan Regency Government Capacity Building for Sampling of Waste Generation and Composition

This activity is a collaboration between lecturers of the Bachelor of Public Health Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, lecturers of the Faculty of Marine Affairs and lecturers of the Environmental Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University with the Tabanan Regency Government under the CLOCC (Clean Ocean through Clean Community) program. The training was held on 5 - 6 July 2022 at De Jukung Restaurant, Tanah Lot, with training participants from the village community and Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) which was immediately followed by a sampling process by participants from 8 - 16 July 2022. Around 14 PSSKM students were involved to supervise sampling and also survey recycling activities throughout the Tabanan Regency.


It is hoped that participants from Tabanan Regency can independently conduct periodic sampling and use the data for more efficient waste management planning so as to reduce waste released into the environment including into the ocean.
