Visiting Lecturer to Wailalak University

The most important single ingredient in the formula of success is knowing how to get along with people. Dr. Utami Dwipayanti, Senior lecturer at the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Bali, Indonesia, has been invited today to Walailak University (WU), by The Center for International Affairs, in collaboration with the School of Public Health, as visiting professor. She will be here with us for three weeks and will conduct a research and workshop with lectures in the School of Public Health.


Further, in the afternoon, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanawong, President of Walailak University, warmly welcomed Dr. Utami Dwipayanti and formally welcomed her to WU, a land of glory. Professor Dr. Sombat mentioned that we can connect with people worldwide nowadays, and I’m delighted to meet you. Walailak University is actively seeking to make the university an effective instrument of international cooperation, and you are one of the key people who help us progress toward our goal.


Dr. Utami Dwipayanti is a lecturer in the field of Environmental Science, and she will do research with WU faculty members on the topic related to water, sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) for Sustainable Communities. Also, during their time here at Walailak University, she will serve as the supervisor for Ph.D. students and attend Postgrad seminars, giving a lecture on “Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in Bali, Indonesia” and holding the workshop “English for Environmental Health Professionals” and provide the training on “Principle of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene”.


We hope that this collaboration between Dr. Utami Dwipayanti and our faculty members from the School of Public Health will bring us more outstanding research and international work experience.
